The D-League will hold its annual draft tomorrow, and we can provide you with the names of a few of the 200-plus players who will be up for grabs. (The NBA wil release the entire list tonight. It'll be available on NBA.com/dleague.)
Names on the list include:
JamesOnCurry - A 2007 draft pick of the Chicago Bulls, he had the dubious distinction of being arrested for public urination in Boise, Idaho, during the 2008 D-League Showcase.
Orien Greene - Point guard drafted four years ago by Boston. He also played for Sacramento.
Antonio Anderson - You may remember him from his days playing for John Calipari at Memphis. He was cut by the Bobcats during training camp.
Deron Washington - A 2008 draft pick of Detroit out of Virginia Tech, he spent last season playing overseas.
Reece Gaines - The 15th overall pick of the 2003 draft by Orlando, out of Louisville, he also played for Houston and Milwaukee and played last season in Italy.
Many players who were in the D-League last season are not eligible for the draft because their teams retained their D-League rights. They include Gabe Pruitt, Romel Beck, Anthony Tolliver, Dwyane Jones, Ron Howard, Chris Hunter, Joe Crawford, Rod Benson, Billy Thomas and Steven Hill.
The first round of the draft will be televised live on NBA-TV at 7 p.m. EST.
