LoveKevin Love finished with 31 points and 31 rebounds, both career highs, in the Minnesota Timberwolves' 112-103 win over the New York Knicks on Friday.
Love, who had the first 30-rebound game in franchise history, is the first player with 30 rebounds in a game since Charles Barkley in 1996. He's the first to go for 30 points and 30 rebounds in a game since Moses Malone in 1982.
Love finished with 12 fewer rebounds than the entire Knicks team (43), and his 31 boards were more than the Washington Wizards had Friday against the Charlotte Bobcats (30).
30 Points, 30 Rebounds In Game
Since Merger in 1976-77
Love had 15 of his rebounds in the third quarter. The last player with at least 15 rebounds in a quarter was Erick Dampier (Jan. 19, 2004) in the fourth quarter against the Utah Jazz.
• Lost in the "Lovefest" is the fact that Minnesota came back to win despite trailing by 21 points in the third quarter. It's the Timberwolves first win when trailing by more than 20 points in the second half since Jan. 17, 1998. They trailed Dallas by 24 points in the third before coming back to win, 113-110.
• Speaking of the Jazz, they won a fourth straight game, handing the Atlanta Hawks their fourth straight loss.

WilliamsMore impressive is the fact that Utah has won four straight despite trailing by double digits at some point in each game. (On Friday, Utah trailed 74-63 in the fourth quarter.) Point guard Deron Williams has been the second-half spark for the Jazz this season.
In the first half of games, Williams is averaging 7.2 points, shooting 37.7 percent from the floor and taking just 2.3 free throws. In the second half, he’s averaging 14.1 points, shooting better than 50 percent from the floor (51.3) and going to the free-throw line 5.1 times.
