The Redskins don’t get much time to recover from their latest loss. They’ll have a walk-through Wednesday morning followed by an open locker room session at 11:15 a.m. ET and then a 1 p.m. practice. Here are three areas of interest Wednesday:
Kirk Cousins. He’ll address the media just before the open locker room session. He has not won any of his last six starts, but it would be tough to call Monday a bad game. In fact, Cousins probably fared much better than many anticipated against Seattle’s defense, with two touchdowns and no turnovers. But his struggles on third down continue and that will be an area to watch Sunday at Arizona. This topic will come up Wednesday.
Laughgate. OK, it’s not that bad -- I think. I do know it’s never a good look to joke around in the locker room after a loss. But what it says about this team? Well, if they don’t handle their business Sunday then maybe it says a lot. But the topic likely will come up Wednesday. You’ve been warned.
Injuries. We’ll likely get more of an update from Jay Gruden on linebacker Perry Riley, who sprained his left medial collateral ligament in Monday’s loss. And there’s usually someone from the game who we don’t learn about until Wednesday. Also, will tight end Jordan Reed practice Wednesday? There’s clearly some optimism about his chances for Sunday at Arizona.
