LOS ANGELES -- Oscar De La Hoya, who hinted following the second loss in his last three bouts that he may retire, will fight again, Top Rank promoter Bob Arum said Wednesday. De La Hoya said after losing a decision to Shane Mosley in their WBC title bout last Saturday that he intended to think about his future, including possible retirement. A 1992 Olympic gold medalist, De La Hoya won the first 31 fights of his pro career, stopping 26 of his opponents, before he lost to Felix Trinidad in Las Vegas last September. After building early leads against both Mosley in their bout in Los Angeles, and Trinidad, De La Hoya lost split decisions when he was outpointed in the later rounds. That led to speculation that he might switch cornermen, a job Robert Alcazar currently fills for the boxer. "This is a decision that would be made in the future by Oscar and his father and brother," Arum said from Las Vegas. "I understand there will be a discussion, whether or not they make a change."
