HAMILTON, Ontario (Ticker) -- Jon Baker kicked a 43-yard field goal on the final play of regulation and Sean Millington scored on a three-yard run in overtime as the B.C. Lions rallied for a season-opening 33-26 victory over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

The Lions' comeback against the defending Grey Cup champions began when the ageless Lui Passaglia kicked a 32-yard field goal with 1:57 left in the fourth quarter.

Hamilton (0-1) punted back to B.C., which took over at its own 30-yard line. Damon Allen completed 4-of-5 passes for 36 yards before scrambling for six more. Robert Drummond ran for two yards and Baker forced overtime with his 43-yard field goal.

After Millington's touchdown put the Lions in front, the Ti-Cats' overtime possession ended with three straight incompletions from the Lions 10.

Allen completed 26-of-37 passes for 394 yards and two touchdowns, including a 67-yard strike to Mike Adams in the opening minute of the fourth quarter.

Hamilton used superior special teams' play to grab a 20-3 halftime lead. Tony Akins scored on a 65-yard kickoff return and Jarrett Smith scooped up a blocked punt and rambled 23 yards for another TD.

Hamilton's Danny McManus was 18-for-41 for 198 yards with two interceptions.
