VANCOUVER, British Columbia (Ticker) -- Jon Baker's 44-yard field goal with 1:36 remaining gave the B.C. Lions their second straight victory to start the season, 30-28 over the winless Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Baker's kick came just 69 seconds after Paul McCallum gave Saskatchewan (0-2) a 28-27 lead with a 14-yard field goal.

Damon Allen completed 21-of-28 passes for 284 yards and a touchdown for the Lions (2-0), who squandered a 13-point third-quarter lead before rallying. Allen threw a 58-yard scoring strike to Mike Adams and Robert Drummond added a one-yard TD run in the final minute of the second quarter as B.C. opened a 24-14 halftime lead.

A 25-yard field goal by ageless Lui Passaglia made it 27-14 early in the third period.

But the Roughriders rallied as McCallum netted a single with a missed field goal before converting from 48 yards. A 28-yard touchdown pass from Henry Burris to Curtis Marsh sliced the margin to 27-25 entering the fourth quarter.

Burris was 22-for-39 for 315 yards but threw four interceptions for Saskatchewan, which has lost 11 consecutive games dating to last season and 12 straight on the road over three seasons.

Dione Taylor rushed for 96 yards on 13 carries in a losing cause.
