EDMONTON, Alberta (Ticker) -- Sean Fleming booted a 26-yard field goal with 17 seconds remaining to give the Edmonton Eskimos a wild 51-49 victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. After Winnipeg's Albert Johnson retured an attempted field goal a team-record 122 yards for a touchdown that tied the game at 48-48 with just under two minutes remaining, Edmonton marched down the field on six plays, capped off by Fleming's go-ahead field goal. The Blue Bombers (0-3) had a chance to tie it but Troy Westwood missed a 54-yard field-goal attempt with no time remaining. Dan Crowley, starting in place of the injured Nealon Greene, completed 26-of-37 passes for 369 yards and five TD passes for Edmonton (1-2). Kez McCorvey caught four TDs, tying a team record also held by Brian Kelly and Jim Germany. Winnipeg's Kerwin Bell completed 10-of-17 passes for 158 yards before being replaced by Khari Jones. Jones connected on 17 of his 22 attempts for 286 yards while helping the Blue Bombers battle back from a 48-34 fourth-quarter deficit. Johnson caught seven passes for 153 yards to set a CFL record with 473 all-purpose yards.
