VANCOUVER, British Columbia (Ticker) -- Anthony Calvillo threw two touchdown passes and Terry Baker booted four field goals as the Montreal Alouettes widened their lead atop the East Division with a 35-25 victory over the B.C. Lions. Calvillo completed 18-of-27 passes for 244 yards for Montreal (7-2), which owns a three-point lead over Hamilton in the East. His second scoring pass of the first quarter was a 25-yard strike to Ben Cahoon as the Alouettes opened a 14-3 lead. Lui Passaglia's single with three minutes left in the first half pulled B.C. (4-5) within 16-11. Baker booted three straight field goals spanning both halves as Montreal opened a 25-11 cushion. Chuck Levy scored on a two-yard run late in the third quarter to help the Lions close to 25-18. But Baker connected from 33 yards out midway through the fourth and Mike Pringle added a 43-yard TD run as the Alouettes led, 35-18. Pringle finished with 22 carries for 163 yards and Jock Clime caught six passes for 113 yards for Montreal. Damon Allen completed 14-of-21 passes for 168 yards for B.C. and backup Doug Nussmeier was 7-of-11 for 108 yards and one touchdown.
