WINNIPEG, Manitoba (Ticker) -- The Winnipeg Blue Bombers forced three fourth-quarter turnovers and rallied for a 24-18 victory over the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Friday in a battle of the CFL's worst teams. Winnipeg, which intercepted three passes and recovered a fumble, snapped a seven-game losing streak and matched Saskatchewan for the worst record in the league at 3-9. Mike Saunders rushed for 133 yards for the Roughriders, who fell to 0-6 on the road. The Blue Bombers scored the final 18 points, allowing only a second-half single. They forced a fumble and intercepted two passes in three of Saskatchewan's final four possessions. Defensive back Tom Europe forced a fumble that linebacker Maurice Kelly recovered at the Roughriders' 1-yard line midway through the quarter. McCullough scored on the next play for a 19-18 lead before Bell and Nigel Williams hooked up for the two-point conversion. Saskatchewan was near midfield on each of its last two drives but Henry Newby and Eddie Thomas each intercepted Stave Sarkisian to help seal the win. A 20-yard connection between Bell and Chris Armstrong with three minutes left in the third quarter got the Bombers within 18-13. Saunders carried 30 times, including scoring runs of six and one yards as the Roughriders built a 14-3 advantage 72 seconds into the second quarter. Troy Westwood had three field goals for the Bombers, who had just 15 carries for 45 yards. Bell completed 13-of-26 passes for 183 yards. Sarkisian was 11-of-25 for 121 yards with three interceptions.
