MESA, Ariz. -- An MRI on Chicago Cubs reliever Carlos Marmol showed no significant nerve damage and he's symptom free, according to a Cubs spokesperson.
The MRI was on the neck, according to a source familiar with the situation.
The Cubs thought Marmol was suffering from a cramp in his right, throwing hand during Tuesday's game against the Texas Rangers, but the source said he felt a twinge in his neck area.
The Cubs will rest Marmol for a couple of days before re-evaluating him.
