White Sox recall Jordan Danks

CHICAGO -- The Chicago White Sox recalled outfielder Jordan Danks from Triple-A Charlotte and placed outfielder Kosuke Fukudome on the disabled list with a strained right oblique.

Danks, the brother of White Sox pitcher John Danks, is batting .302 with eight home runs, 28 RBIs and a .412 on-base percentage at Charlotte. He is expected to be available Thursday for the series finale against the Toronto Blue Jays.

A seventh-round draft pick of the White Sox in 2008 out of Texas, Danks is considered the best defensive outfielder in their minor league system.

In his first season with the White Sox, Fukudome is batting .171 with four RBIs.
