Chicago Bulls guard Kyle Korver did not practice Monday and will undergo an MRI on his sore right knee.
"Not quite sure [how it happened]. It happened during the game [Saturday]," Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said. "He had soreness after, and we just want to make sure he's OK."
Korver did not travel with the team on Monday to Houston, the first stop on a two-week trip, but he is scheduled to join the Bulls on Tuesday.
Korver is averaging 8.1 points on 50 percent shooting from the field.
"It will hurt us a lot [if he's out]," Derrick Rose said. "He's a good player that brings a lot of energy and a lot of scoring when he comes in the game.
"We need him, but we can't use that as an excuse. We still got to go out there and play the games."
