AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- Greg Monroe had 22 points and nine rebounds to lead Detroit to a 111-109 overtime victory over the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday night in Stan Van Gundy's preseason debut as Pistons coach.
Brooks scored eight points to pull Chicago to 99-97 in the final 30 seconds of regulation. Monroe's putback gave Detroit a two-possession lead.
Brooks hit three free throws, giving him 15 points in the quarter, and Kyle Singler made 1 of 2 from the line. Caldwell-Pope then fouled Tony Snell with 1.2 seconds left, and he sent the game to overtime.
Jonas Jerebko' 3-pointer gave the Pistons another four-point lead late in overtime.
