DEERFIELD, Ill. -- Chicago Bulls point guard Kirk Hinrich did not practice Friday and won't play in Saturday's matchup against the Brooklyn Nets because of a left knee injury.
Hinrich, who injured the knee in the first half of Tuesday night's loss to the Los Angeles Clippers and missed Wednesday night's game against the Philadelphia 76ers, underwent an MRI which revealed a bruise.
"I'm always concerned," coach Tom Thibodeau said of Hinrich. "(He's) day to day. He's feeling better, not quite ready."
This is the fifth injury Hinrich has dealt with this season. In addition to the knee injury, Hinrich has battled through groin, hip, thumb and elbow problems.
Nate Robinson, who started for Hinrich and played well on Wednesday, will get the starting nod Saturday.
