Chicago White Sox left-handed pitcher John Danks will miss his start on Wednesday due to a blister and circulatory problem in his left index finger.
Danks was sent to Rush Medical Center for tests.
The Sox training staff believes Danks will not have to go on the disabled list and will most likely miss only one start.
Losing Danks for an extended period would be a big blow for the White Sox. He is 8-6 with a 3.98 ERA.
Carlos Torres will be promoted from Triple-A Charlotte and get the start on Wednesday. On Tuesday, the White Sox optioned left-hander Aaron Poreda to Charlotte.
