Jake Peavy's first rehab start as a member of the Chicago White Sox organization was a success.
Peavy started for the Triple-A Charlotte Knights on Thursday and struck out five in three shutout innings against the Pawtucket Red Sox in Fort Mill, S.C.
He struck out the side in the first inning, then gave up a single and a walk -- his only baserunners -- to begin the second inning. But he quickly got out of the jam with a double play and a strikeout.
