Despite missing the playoffs, the Chicago Bears announced on Tuesday that they will increase ticket prices on most seats for the 2012 season.
Non-club ticket prices, which account for 85 percent of the seating at Soldier Field, will increase between $2 and $10. The non-club tickets now range between $76 to $150.
Club seat prices remain flat for 2012 and range from $265 and $530.
The Bears raised prices on all tickets last season for the first time in three years.
The Bears also will give "non-club season ticket holders" a $25 per game savings compared to individual game price. The Bears have a season ticket waiting list.
According to Team Marketing Report, which studies season ticket pricing every season, the Bears' average non-club ticket went up 8.5 percent to $101.55, the fifth-highest in the league, and the average club seat was up 4.6 percent to $389 in 2011. After making the playoffs the previous season, the Bears had the second-highest average ticket increase in 2011. Most teams kept prices the same or cheaper because of the lockout.
Three seasons ago, the last time the average non-club ticket didn't increase, the Bears' averages were $88.33 and $312.50, according to the TMR Fan Cost Index.
The Bears' 2012 home schedule includes games against the Carolina Panthers, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, St. Louis Rams, Seattle Seahawks in addition to three games against the other NFC North teams.
