Anaheim, Calif. -- Chicago Blackhawks winger Marian Hossa returned to practice on Tuesday, while right winger Dustin Byfuglien ran drills with the defensemen.
Hossa missed Sunday's game against the Washington Capitals with an upper body injury, which also kept defenseman Kim Johnsson off the ice Sunday and Tuesday.
Injuries to defensemen, including Brian Campbell, who is expected to miss 7-8 weeks with a fractured clavicle and rib after being hit by the Washington Capitals' Alex Ovechkin, forced Byfuglien to skate at his old defenseman position.
Defenseman Nick Boynton, recalled from Rockford after the injury to Campbell, also took to the ice for the first time as a Blackhawk. Boynton will wear No. 24.
Also not on the ice for practice was goaltenders Cristobal Huet.
