Source: Blackhawks add center help

CHICAGO -- Chicago Blackhawks prospect Marcus Kruger is joining the team for the final 10 games of the regular season and playoffs, according to a source familiar with the situation.

Kruger, 20, plays center for Djurgårdens IF Hockey in Sweden after signing a three-year contract with the Hawks last summer.

"He's got real good hockey sense as well as his instincts," Hawks coach Joel Quenneville said. "Stan [Bowman] is working on that, we'll see how it turns out."

The Hawks are without the services of center Dave Bolland after he left a game earlier this month after getting hit in the head by Tampa Bay's Pavel Kubina. There has been no timetable for his return. Patrick Sharp, who also plays center, left Sunday's game against Phoenix with a left knee injury.

The Hawks are in sixth place in the Western Conference just one point ahead of ninth place Dallas.
