Dave Bolland, Troy Brouwer ready?

The Chicago Blackhawks are hopeful forwards Dave Bolland and Troy Brouwer will play in their opening round playoff series against the Canucks which begins Wednesday in Vancouver.

"They're both coming, and we're optimistic they will be playing in this series," coach Joel Quenneville said before departing for Vancouver.

Bolland missed the final 14 games of the regular season after suffering a concussion on March 9 in Tampa. He practiced Saturday for the first time since the injury but did not take contact.

"We'll continue to monitor," Quenneville said. "It's been positive recently. It was a tough road over the last month or so, but things changed quickly."

Brouwer has missed three games after injuring his right shoulder trying to deliver a check in Montreal on April 5. He hasn't been on the ice since leaving that game.
