Kopecky left Game 1 after a collision with Canucks defenseman Keith Ballard early in the first period of Wednesday's 2-0 loss. The upper-body injury appeared to be a head hit, but there is no confirmation of a possible concussion.
Center Dave Bolland was declared out for Game 2, but he said he didn't have a setback in his recovery from a concussion suffered in early March.
"It's a slow process," Bolland said after skating Thursday. "You ask any other guy that's had this, it's slow. You don't want to come back too early."
Bolland said he is also getting therapy on his neck for the whiplash-type hit he received from Tampa Bay's Pavel Kubina. Bolland and Quenneville are hopeful Bolland can play in the series, but he has not taken contact since the injury occurred.
"Every day progress was encouraging," Quenneville said. "We'll continue to reassess it, but right now he's just OK."
The Canucks lead the series 1-0 after shutting out the Hawks 2-0 in Game 1.
