This is the box score from one of the most infamous games in history -- the game Carl Mays hit Ray Chapman in the head with a pitch, killing the batter. Carried from the field, Chapman supposedly regained consciousness in the clubhouse long enough to say, "Tell Mays not to worry."

Chapman slipped back into a coma and died the next day. He was 29. He is the only major leaguer ever killed by a pitch.
