Rodgers was Philly cage legend
Guy Rodgers played at Temple University from 1955-56 to 1957-58.
He is the third leading scorer in Temple history with 1,767 points.
Rodgers led Temple to a third place finish in three consecutive postseason tournaments: the 1956 NCAA Tournament, 1957 NIT and 1958 NCAA.
Averaging 19.6 points per game, he led the Owls to a 74-16 record.
Rodgers played in the NBA for 12 seasons.
He played in four NBA All-Star Games.
Rodgers led the NBA in assists in 1962-63 (825) and 1966-67 (908).
He finished second in assists six times, once to Bob Cousy and five times to Oscar Robertson.
Rodgers played with NBA greats Wilt Chamberlain, Jerry Lucus and Oscar Robertson.
