Notre Dame LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah had a heart issue that came up late in the draft process and was a concern for most teams, which is why he fell out of the first round and to the second round and pick No. 52 with Cleveland, per sources. Doctors ultimately cleared Owusu-Koramoah but it did contribute to him going later than expected.

Browns take chance on ex-Seattle DT McDowell

In a statement, Browns GM Andrew Berry said the team believes Malik McDowell "is in a good place, personally and medically" after a head injury and some off-field issues led the Seahawks to release him.
