New York | Nov. 9, 1946

The 1946 game between No. 1 Army and No. 2 Notre Dame featured four Heisman Trophy winners (the Irish's Johnny Lujack and Leon Hart, the Cadets' Glenn Davis and Doc Blanchard). The only serious scoring threat came when Blanchard broke into the open field from his own 37. Lujack saved a touchdown with an ankle tackle after a 26-yard gain. The final score: 0-0.
