As the college football season gets underway for some FBS programs, all remain active in recruiting, with several programs adding to their classes and climbing up the rankings.

While the race for the top spot remains fierce, with top-ranked Alabama and No. 2 Ohio State both adding four-star prospects to their classes, the top five also now has a new contender in the mix. LSU pushed forward a spot with a pair of pickups, including from ESPN 300 cornerback Nathaniel Wiggins, an athlete with good flexibility, feet and ball skills.

Oregon continues to lead the Pac-12 on the recruiting trail and is in position to potentially sign its highest-ranked class in over a decade. Eleventh-ranked offensive tackle Kingsley Suamataia, out of Orem (Utah) High School, joins a class that also includes ESPN 300 No. 2-ranked center Jackson Light from Corner Canyon High School, also in Utah.

Two Big Ten teams made moves up the rankings as well. Wisconsin bolstered its offensive line by adding No. 7 OT Nolan Rucci, its third ESPN 300 offensive line commit. Nebraska made a double-digit leap as well after securing commitments from a pair of tight ends: in-state prospect A.J. Rollins and ESPN 300 TE Thomas Fidone Jr., a big target with good hands who could contribute quickly.
