Auburn's Coleman injured in scrimmage, taken off on stretcher

Auburn Tigers junior defensive end
Antonio Coleman was injured Saturday and taken off the field in an ambulance during a scrimmage.

Coleman lay on the field at Jordan-Hare Stadium for at least 15 minutes before he was placed on a stretcher and taken to a hospital. Details on the injury were not immediately available.

Tigers coach Tommy Tuberville says he didn't know how the injury occurred. He says Coleman was starting to get some feeling back and he was able to move and talk to trainers.

Coleman, 6-2, 250 pounds, was matched up against left tackle Lee Ziemba on the play when he was injured, prompting Tuberville to end the scrimmage.
