Pitt suspends Porter after DUI arrest

Pittsburgh has suspended receiver T.J. Porter indefinitely after his second arrest for DUI in less than a year.

Porter was arrested Feb. 22 for driving while intoxicated and operating a vehicle with a suspended license. He was also arrested for DUI on May 5, 2008. As a result of that case, his license was suspended and he was ordered into a court-supervised rehabilitation program, which began Oct. 24.

When he announced the suspension on Monday, coach Dave Wannstedt said that Porter was suspended for the spring due to "disciplinary reasons," but didn't elaborate.

Porter, a junior, had 25 catches for 357 yards last season.
