TEXAS A&M 31, WYOMING 0

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (Ticker) -- After last week's

disappointing performance, Texas A&M took out its frustrations

on Wyoming.

Reggie McNeal had a career-high 342 total yards as the Aggies

won their 17th consecutive home opener with a 31-0 rout of the

Cowboys.

McNeal completed 17-of-24 passes for 298 yards and ran for

another 44, including a 22-yard touchdown with 2:44 left in the

first quarter that gave the Aggies (1-1) a 7-0 lead. McNeal put

the finishing touches on the blowout with an 84-yard pass to

Kerry Franks in the fourth quarter.

The Texas A&M defense, which allowed 212 rushing yards in a

41-21 loss to No. 16 Utah on September 2, held Wyoming (1-1) to

minus-3 yards on the ground en route to its first shutout since

2002.

Terrence Murphy had three catches for 69 yards to become the

first Aggie to have 2,000 receiving yards in his career.

Texas A&M snapped a four-game losing streak dating back to last

season in which they were outscored 209-58.
