LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas (Ticker) -- Marcus Randall and No. 12
Louisiana State dealt Southeastern Conference-rival Arkansas a
crushing first under coach Houston Nutt.
Randall threw two touchdown passes to running back Joseph Addai
and ran for two more scores as the Tigers handed the Razorbacks
their first loss at War Memorial Stadium in 18 games under coach
Addai, who rushed six times for 40 yards, caught a 20-yard TD
pass to open the scoring and was on the receiving end of a
29-yard scoring play 1:37 into the second quarter to give LSU a
Randall, who completed 10-of-14 passes for 173 yards, also
rushed for 79 yards and two scores, including a seven-yard run
with 9:50 left in the third quarter to give the Tigers (9-2, 6-2
SEC West) a 34-14 lead.
Shyrone Carey rushed for a nine-yard score with 1:37 left to put
the finishing touches on LSU's sixth straight victory since a
humiliating 45-16 setback at Georgia on October 2.
Matt Jones completed 12-of-29 passes for 152 yards and two
touchdowns for Arkansas (5-6, 3-5 West), which needed a win to
become bowl eligible for a school-record seventh straight
