MUNCIE, Ind. (AP) -- Dan LeFevour passed for 360 yards and five touchdowns -- and ran for 146 yards and another score -- to lead Central Michigan to a 58-38 victory over Ball State Saturday.
Justin Hoskins and Antonio Brown got things started for the Chippewas, each running for a touchdown in the first quarter. Ball State's Dante Love scored on a 100-yard kickoff return to bring the score to 14-7.
LeFevour threw a 21-yard pass to Brown for a touchdown in the second quarter. With three minutes left before the half, LeFevour completed a 2-yard pass to Taylor Bradley for another score. Ball State managed a 5-yard Frank Edmonds run for a touchdown and a field goal before the half.
In the fourth quarter, LeFevour ran for a 1-yard touchdown, bringing the score to 58-31. The Cardinals got the final score on an 8-yard Tanner Justice run.
Ball State finished the game with 228 passing yards and 141 rushing, compared to Central Michigan's 360 passing yards and 298 rushing yards.
