CULLOWHEE, N.C. (AP) -- Adrian Young rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns, Kevious Johnson ran for 128 yards and another score and Wofford withstood Western Carolina's comeback attempt in a wild 47-44 victory Thursday night.
The Terriers (7-2, 4-1 Southern Conference) led 34-0 late in the second quarter before the Catamounts rallied behind three touchdown passes from Todd Spitzer and two from Adam Hearns.
Spitzer's third TD, a 27-yard toss to Marquel Pittman, made it a three-point game with 1:27 remaining, but Wofford recovered the ensuing onside kick and ran out the clock.
