Bowling Green beats UMass 62-38 with QB Matt Johnson completing 33-of-39 passes for 450 yards and five touchdowns.

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- Matt Johnson completed 33 of 39 passes for 450 yards and five touchdowns to lead Bowling Green to a 62-38 win over UMass on Saturday.

Travis Greene rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries and was one of five different players with a receiving touchdown for the Falcons (4-2, 2-0 Mid-American Conference). Roger Lewis had eight catches for 142 yards, including a 68-yard touchdown. Ronnie Moore had a 71-yard touchdown catch.

Blake Frohnapfel went 34 of 56 for 409 yards for the Minutemen (1-4, 0-1) with Tajae Sharpe catching 13 passes for 156 yards.

UMass had 486 yards passing, close to the 519 of the Falcons, but only had 30 yards on the ground while Bowling Green piled up 206 for 725 yards of total offense. The teams combined for 67 first downs.

James Oliphant had a 97-yard kickoff return for Massachusetts.
