RUSTON, La. -- Kenneth Dixon ran for a career-best six touchdowns as Louisiana Tech routed North Texas 56-13 on Saturday night.
Dixon rushed for 195 yards on 22 carries for the Bulldogs (7-3, 5-1 Conference USA). Jeff Driskel threw for 296 yards and was intercepted once.
Louisiana Tech went up 28-0 by halftime on three short-yardage scoring runs by Dixon and a 26-yard fumble return for a score by Bryson Abraham.
Midway through the third quarter, Dixon scored his longest, a 40-yard touchdown run that gave the Bulldogs a 35-0 advantage.
Smith finished with 234 yards passing and two touchdowns for the Mean Green (1-8, 1-5).
