Baylor to start QB Bryce Petty

Baylor quarterback Bryce Petty will start against Buffalo on Friday after missing one game with a back injury.

Petty was ruled out for Baylor's 70-6 win over Northwestern State so he could recover from two cracked bones in his spine. Seth Russell earned the start in his place.

The back injury had forced Petty to exit the Bears' season-opening win over SMU at halftime.

Baylor wide receivers Antwan Goodley (quad) and Corey Coleman (hamstring) are not expected to play against Buffalo.
