Daxx Garman to replace J.W. Walsh

Oklahoma State quarterback J.W. Walsh underwent surgery Thursday morning to repair an injury to his right foot and is expected to miss the entire season, an OSU source confirmed.

Walsh injured the foot in the first quarter last weekend against Missouri State. Cowboys coach Mike Gundy said earlier this week that the injury was "not as severe as what was originally thought."

The injury to Walsh means junior Daxx Garman will make his first college start Saturday against UTSA. Garman came on in relief of Walsh last week and completed 16 of 26 passes for 244 yards and two touchdowns.
