Clemson's leading receiver, Mike Williams, left the Tigers' game Saturday with a neck injury after hitting a goalpost early in the first quarter against Wofford. He was placed on a board and carted off the field.

"Mike Williams continues to undergo tests at the hospital," the team said Saturday afternoon. "He is standing and has full use of extremities. Tests will continue today."

Williams hauled in the ball in the back of the end zone and landed awkwardly on the side of the post. He remained down for several minutes, tended to by the medical staff.

He then was strapped down on a board and carted off. Williams was moving his arms and waved to the crowd as he exited the field.

Last season, Williams had 57 receptions for 1,030 yards and six touchdowns. He was a preseason All-ACC selection.
