After nursing broken finger, Oregon QB Vernon Adams gets start vs. Utah

EUGENE, Ore. -- Oregon quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. got the start for the Ducks on Saturday night in their matchup against Utah, their first Pac-12 game of the season.

Adams sat out last week's game as he rested a broken index finger on his throwing hand. Senior Jeff Lockie started in his place, completing 23 of 31 passes for 228 yards.

On the season, Adams has completed 41 of 64 pass attempts for 555 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. Adams' return is even more important considering the stout Utah defense.

Starting at quarterback for the Utes will be Travis Wilson, who also sat out last week's game after suffering a shoulder sprain in Week 2 against Utah State.
