Sooners WR Jalen Saunders arrested

NORMAN, Okla. -- Oklahoma Sooners receiver Jalen Saunders and cornerback Cortez Johnson were arrested Sunday morning on a complaint of possession of a controlled substance, according to the Cleveland County Sherriff's Office.

Saunders and Johnson were arrested at 2:34 a.m. CT on Sunday for possession of marijuana and released, a spokesman for the Cleveland County Jail confirmed.

OU officials have yet to comment.

Saunders, who transferred from Fresno State during the offseason, has been one of the Sooners' top offensive weapons this season.

In Saturday's 24-17 win over TCU, Saunders hauled in seven receptions for 108 yards and a touchdown.

Johnson, who transferred in from Arizona, is sitting out this season under NCAA transfer rules.
