Legendary Delaware football coach Harold R. "Tubby" Raymond, the Hall of Famer who won 300 games and three national championships with the Blue Hens and was one of the innovators of the Wing-T offense, died Friday after a brief illness.

SOURCE: Rutgers has hired former Delaware assistant Henry Baker as cornerbacks coach. He replaces Aaron Henry, who left for NC State earlier this month.

Delaware is hiring Richmond's Danny Rocco as its next coach, a source tells ESPN. He will receive a five-year contract at Delaware. Rocco informed Richmond today of his departure. Rocco is 43-21 in five seasons at Richmond and 90-41 overall as a head coach. He replaces Dave Brock, fired in October. Rocco is a Pennsylvania native who has coached at Virginia, Maryland, Texas and Boston College, among other college spots, as well as with the New York Jets in 2000.

Tar Heels take lead into locker room
