Duncanville (TX) moved up two spots to No. 4 with a convincing win over previously undefeated Cypress Creek (TX) in the Texas 6A Championship. Deja Kelly didn't disappoint, as the North Carolina-bound guard put on another clutch performance with 23 points and tournament MVP honors.
No. 7 Westlake (GA) repeated as Georgia 7A champions, defeating Collins Hill (GA) to extend its winning streak against in-state opponents to 78 games.
Mater Dei (CA) fell from No. 5 to No. 9 after it lost to unranked giant killer Long Beach Poly (CA) 55-50 in the CIF Open Division state tournament.
No. 14 Princess Anne won in the state quarters behind Aziaha James, who had 41 points, 10 rebounds and seven steals just days after she lost her brother, AJ, in an accidental shooting.
