The teams were much more chippy today as they became more comfortable and at the end both teams ran at each other chanting in good-natured fun. To see all the high lights tune into ESPN from 3-6 p.m. ET.
A few final notes
• Black special teams update: Kicker Cody Parker put more than half of his kickoffs five yard deep into the end zone. Was good from 50 yards, with 10 to spare, on field goals. Has been praised for his accuracy out to 50 yards.
• Dominique Easley's the black MVP for the second straight day. He's won every one-on-one battle for two straight practice sessions.
• Offensive MVP is probably Justin Hunter, who made the catch of the day. Mike Davis has been the most consistent guy.
• Jordan Hicks really fluid in space, has shown terrific hands and is just a great linebacker in man or zone coverage. Finishes plays.
• While it can't be stressed enough that it's hard to tell with running backs in this setting, Michael Dyer continues to impress with some of the natural things he does.
• Corey Lemonier has been impressive all day and has been a handful for the offensive linemen today.
• Brandon Coleman beat Joshua Shaw for a touchdown, which is a pretty big deal because Shaw has been excellent this week.
• Shaun Lewis with good coverage and snags an interception.
• Michael Dyer again showing quickness and the ability to make people miss. The defense had him bottled up, but he manages to shake them and get out of bounds.
Bama's big day
11:35 a.m. ET -- Every Alabama commit on the black team is making plays, especially Adrian Hubbard and Brian Vogler at tight end.
Easley the best
11:35 a.m. ET -- So far in team workouts, Dominique Easley would have had two sacks and three additional tackles for loss. There isn't a guard on the black team who can handle him.
Red zone pick
11:35 a.m. ET -- Jordan Hicks picks off Nick Montana in the red zone throwing his dad's signature route -- the slant.
Terrific tandem
11:31 a.m. ET -- Louis Nix and Todd Chandler have been playing well as a tandem inside and continue to give the interior of the offensive line fits.
Play of the day
11:30 a.m. ET -- Devin Gardner improvising out of the pocket, letting the coverage break down and then connecting with Justin Hunter splitting Jonathan Dowling and DeMarcus Milliner for a great leaping touchdown grab.
Gholston switches to LB
11:12 a.m. ET -- William Gholston is getting a look at outside linebacker, a position he has played during his high school career. He's having trouble staying with Xavier Grimble and had to grab his jersey.
Versatile Ogletree
11:08 a.m. ET -- Just when you think Alec Ogletree (Georgia) is going to slide down to linebacker, he makes a play going over the top of a deep route, breaking up a pass and showing great range. He's going to be a real scheme-versatile player at the next level.
Top-notch Tavadis
11:04 a.m. ET -- Tavadis Glenn really uses his hands well. He knocked Corey Lemonier to the ground just now. Some have talked about Glenn on defense, but he is quite intriguing on the OL and that's where Miami plans to play him.
Thoughts from Black team coach Sam Wyche
11:04 a.m. ET -- "All three quarterbacks have taken huge steps today, completing a lot of balls, but going for the home run ball too often."
"All four linebackers have been very impressive. Jordan Hicks is a special player. Jake Holland (Auburn) has done a lot of good things. Aaron Benson (Texas) and Corey Nelson (Texas A&M) have made plays. Just a very impressive group."
"Evan Hailes (Penn State) has made some plays from his defensive tackle spot."
"Overall chemistry and attitude of the kids has been great over the first two days."
Hurricane rivalry
11:01 a.m. ET -- Louis Nix (Notre Dame) makes a move and gets past Shane McDermott (Miami) in a battle of current Miami commit (McDermott) vs. former (Nix). Nix follows it up with a good move on James Stone.
Hurst holding his own
11:01 a.m. ET -- James Hurst (North Carolina) slows Corey Miller (Tennessee). He may have held, but it was difficult to tell. Miller tries a spin move on the second attempt and Hurst stops him cold. Good work overall by Hurst.
Milliner making moves
11:15 a.m. ET -- DeMarcus Milliner showing deceptive strength and physicality with his hands forcing Justin Hunter to an outside release, almost forcing him out of bounds and out of the play. If he can continue to improve his coverage technique (has played a lot of safety) and his strength he could develop into one of the finest corners in college football.
Trench warfare
White Team defensive linemen go through agility and tackling drills.
Drawing praise
11:01 a.m. ET -- George Uko (USC) drawing praise from the coaches for a move he put on Kolton Houston. He did it twice in a row.

Unstoppable Uko

Hit of the day
10:53 a.m. ET -- Outside linebacker Corey Nelson (Texas A&M) drilled Corey Brown (Ohio State), helmet-on-helmet on a slant. Every black team defensive player was jumping up and down telling Brown about it. The timing between quarterbacks and receivers is better today meaning there are more plays to be made on the ball. Competition between receivers and defensive backs has been heated and team Black defensive backs have been very chirpy.
Joyner holding his own vs. Rogers
10:52 a.m. ET -- Lamarcus Joyner (Florida State) shows great timing, leaping skills and athleticism going up against the taller Da'Rick Rogers (Georgia).
Cann, Hubbard shining

Simply unblockable
10:38 a.m. ET -- Dominique Easley beat guard Chad Lindsay (Alabama) twice in a row in one-on-ones. Easley hasn't been blocked in two days, period.

Welcome Tavadis
10:32 a.m. ET -- Miami commit Tavadis Glenn (Jacksonville, Fla./Raines) was added to the White roster today and has performed well. He's got excellent feet, quick hands and made his presence known with a big block on Konrad Zagzebski (Wisconsin).
Dowling gets best of White
10:32 a.m. ET -- In one-on-ones, Jonathan Dowling (Florida) had a nice pass breakup against Darius White. He broke on the ball, worked through White's body and long-armed over the top and knocked it down.
Sims spinning it well
10:31 a.m. ET -- Phillip Sims (Alabama) is throwing the ball really well today, especially on outs, posts and post-corners. Really spinning the ball, displaying great arm strength. The ball really spins out of his hand.
Right place, right time
10:31 a.m. ET -- Dakota Royer (Penn State) getting praise after every play from the Black coaching staff. He's never out of position.
Beastly receiver
10:28 a.m. ET -- Texas commit Mike Davis continues to impress and be the most consistent route-runner. He took No. 3-rated corner John Fulton to school on a slant-and-go for a touchdown, then dunked the ball over the goal post and yelled, "I'm a beast!"
Between-the-tackles runners
10:24 a.m. ET -- RBs Jordon James and Michael Dyer are showing excellent burst up the middle. Both can run between the tackles.

Look out for Lamarcus
10:13 a.m. ET -- Watching Lamarcus Joyner in drills, you really get a sense of how quick he is and how well he changes direction.
Air Jordan
10:11 a.m. ET -- Black team linebackers are working on drop and recognition drills. Jordan Hicks showing terrific hands, very fluid in drops, great overall ball skills for an LB.
Easley, Dorsey showing their quicks
10:10 a.m. ET -- The Black team defensive linemen are working on snap count and getting off the ball. Dominique Easley, who decommitted from Penn State last night and is considering Oregon and Miami, has the quickest first step. Texas defensive tackle commit Ashton Dorsey is right behind him with the second quickest get-off.
Quick with it
10:10 a.m. ET -- Future Longhorn, corner Adrian White, had quickest T-step and is very fluid with his feet in his back peddle.

White returning punts
9:40 a.m. ET -- DeMarcus Milliner (Alabama), Demar Dorsey (Florida) and Darius White (uncommitted) are all catching punts for the Black team. White did not participate in the return game yesterday, but he did post a few return touchdowns as a junior.
Wilson out
9:38 a.m. ET -- Offensive lineman Torrian Wilson is not in uniform today. He dressed yesterday, but did not participate and is injured for the game. Wilson recently de-committed from Stanford and is now considering Michigan, Tennessee and South Florida. The Vols and Wolverines are the teams to beat. He makes official visits to both places in January. Michigan has always been a strong player.
Rogers, Grimble shining
9: 35 a.m. ET -- Wide receiver Da'Rick Rogers stole the show yesterday, but USC tight end commit Xavier Grimble was extremely impressive as well. You can tell that the coaches for the White squad intend to utilize his talents in the game on Saturday.
Vogler standing out
9:33 a.m. ET -- The Black team is working some two-minute hurry up drills. Tight end Brian Vogler, headed to Alabama, has looked great over the first two days. He is a great route runner, but at 6-foot-6, 250 pounds, he's big enough to even develop into a tackle, if need be.
Storm brewing
9:33 a.m. ET -- RB Storm Johnson, a Miami-FL verbal, continues to display excellent burst and explosiveness.
Hardworking Royer
9:32 a.m. ET -- Penn State bound DE Dakota Royer may play harder than any other member of the black team. He showed great first-step quickness off the edge.
Hustling Nix
9:25 a.m. ET -- Notre Dame defensive tackle commit Louis Nix continues to show a positive attitude and hustle around. There were rumors on the Internet yesterday that he was taking plays off during the practice. Just a quick reminder that these practices are all at about 75 percent speed and that Nix came out twice because of injury and went right back in. Players that are lazy, don't hustle or "take plays off" don't often exhibit that type of behavior.
Strong first OL
9:24 a.m. ET -- It looks like the first OL for the White team today will be RT Chaz Green, RG Kolton Houston, C Shane McDermott, LG James Stone and LT Ja'Wuan James. That is the same it was yesterday.

Lets get it started
9:00 a.m. ET -- The horn just sounded to start practice. Both teams are taking the field and warming up after having a brief huddle.
