The Patriots plan to fill one of their two open roster spots by signing undrafted rookie safety Peter Manuma (Hawaii), according to a league source. Manuma (6-0, 200) participated in the weekend rookie minicamp as one of 17 tryout players, and then stayed in town as the fourth week of the voluntary offseason program got underway Monday. Manuma was timed at 4.47 in the 40-yard dash in the pre-draft process, and totaled 281 tackles and five interceptions over four seasons at Hawaii.
