C.J. Wilson to start ALDS Game 1

ARLINGTON, Texas -- No matter the playoff opponent in the American League Divisional Series, the Texas Rangers will go with C.J. Wilson in Game 1.

With one start remaining in the regular season on Monday, the 30-year-old left-hander is 16-7 with a 2.97 ERA.

Manager Ron Washington wouldn't go beyond Wilson in predicting the Rangers' rotation.

"We haven't gotten that far," Washington said at his Saturday pregame news conference, just 12 hours after the Rangers clinched their second consecutive AL West title.

The manager confirmed the Rangers will go with four starting pitchers and an eight-man bullpen.

Texas has until 10 a.m. Friday to announce its roster for the ALDS.
