No need to tell you what happened. You probably saw it and, if not, you certainly heard about it by now. As for Boston and the rest of New England that loves its Patriots, here's a warning that is just as important as what Paul Revere once cried:
"One if by land, two if by air, you'd better watch out, Tim Tebow is on a tear." And he's coming to a stadium near you.
The early headline at denverpost.com simply read: "Broncos, Tebow shock Steelers in OT," while at pittsburghlive.com it was almost identical: "Tebow, Broncos knock out Steelers." At least the Denver Post put the rest of the Broncos ahead of Tebow even though everyone else says it as if he did it by himself: "Did you hear, Tebow beat the Steelers."
Shouldn't there be some love for Demariyus Thomas, who turned Tebow's short pass into an 80-yard touchdown on the first play of OT? Or how about the Bronco defense that hounded the Steelers all day? No matter, it's Tebow that commands our attention.
Or as it said at bostonherald.com: "Tebow rules in OT, too." They rhyme about as well as I do.
We didn't really plan on another Tebow-oriented reader-generated Top 10 list but who are we to ignore the story of the NFL playoffs? Tebow takes on Tom Brady. Tebow takes on the evil genius that is Bill Belichick. Tebow takes on the world.
Can he be stopped? How? That's what we want from you, suggestions to complete this list: "Top 10 Tips To Stop Tim Tebow." Belichick needs your help. Please remember we are a "Letterman-list" group here, meaning we want chuckles more than wisdom. (Humorous wisdom works, however.)
Send your ideas to firstname.lastname@example.org. To be considered for the glory of making the list, you must include your first name, initial of your last name and your location. You have until noon Wednesday to submit your entries for the list that will appear here Thursday.
Should Tebow be stopped? That's not for us to say. But how can he be stopped? You tell us and we'll pass it on to the Patriots. Belichick will thank you.
