On the list because she's the first female jockey in the Hall of Fame and still going strong, becoming the first female to ride a Breeders' Cup title last October. She won the '93 Belmont Stakes and is strong, fearless and tough as nails.
On the list because Harvard's senior defenseman was named the best female player in the world by The Hockey News. A four-time All-American and two-time Olympic medalist, the 2003-04 women's NCAA player of the year is fast, agile, a great shooter and was a New England shot put and javelin champion in high school.
