Early preparation

Delirium Trigger set the alarm for 4:30 a.m. to begin prepping. Here, she gets ready with the help of boyfriend T.J. Freeman. Inspired by the cult comic book "Tank Girl," her costume has taken over a month and a half to construct. "My boyfriend has a very mechanical and engineering mind," Trigger says. "I'm very lucky because I get to be the product of his imagination. I get to wear his art." While Freeman was the architect, his mom actually sewed the rocket bra (constructed from Styrofoam pool noodles). "She's a master seamstress," Trigger says. "She just really enjoys sewing."
