Meat Loaf's Hell In A Hand Basket team overcame a 43-point halftime deficit to defeat Jerry Cantrell's JC Aroma Of Tacoma 224-214 in the championship of the Alice in Chains & Friends Fantasy Football Charity League at the end of the NFL's regular season.
As a result, Meat Loaf's chosen charity, The Painted Turtle, will receive all the proceeds from an online auction of items donated by all the league's participants and others. The Painted Turtle, which is part of Paul Newman's family of Hole in the Wall Camps for seriously ill children, offers educational, therapeutic, safe and fun summer camp and year-round programs that aim to inspire children to become more self-confident and self-reliant, as well as more cooperative with their medical caregivers, according to the charity's website.
Here is a complete list of the items that went up for an online auction that began Wednesday morning:

This was the second year of the Alice in Chains & Friends Fantasy Football Charity League on ESPN.com. Former NFL player Matt Willig won last year's title and his charity, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, earned more than $10,000 from last year's charity after the 2009 NFL season.
Cantrell, who founded the league to combine his love of fantasy football with the goal of helping a worthy cause, offered his congratulations to Meat Loaf on the league's message board earlier this month.
Congratulations, Meat Loaf

Fear And Loathing
Meat told me before the season, "You don't want me in your league." And when asked to talk some trash here he said, "I don't talk, I win."
Congratulations, Meat Loaf!!!
Great season, it was a lot of fun.
Cheers,
Scott
