MOSCOW -- Kazakh hurdler Anastasia Soprunova has been given a four-year doping ban and will lose her gold medal from the Asian indoor championships.

The IAAF says Soprunova failed a doping test at the national championships in Kazakhstan, less than a month before she won the 60-meter hurdles at the Asian indoors in Qatar.

The 30-year-old Sopronuva also won silver in the 100 hurdles at the Asian championships in 2013 and competed at the 2012 Olympics and two world championships.

The IAAF did not say what was found in Soprunova's sample.
