You probably know this by now, but Jaden Newman is an 11-year-old basketball prodigy who is LIGHTING IT UP for her high school varsity team in Orlando. Last week, she dropped a cool 57 points in Downey Christian's season opener, and this week the sixth-grader scored 47 to break the 1,000-point mark.
DID I MENTION SHE'S IN SIXTH GRADE?
Needing just seven points to reach the milestone, Newman channeled her inner-Stephen Curry and hit 12 3-pointers during her epic performance. She is now the youngest person in school history (and maybe anywhere this side of Pluto) to join the 1,000-point club, eclipsing her brother, Julian, who previously held the honor as a member of the school's boys team.
